Conversion Set for Speedport and FRITZ!Box to improve the radio range
Often FRITZ!Box, Speedports and other wireless routers do not have the radio range, which is needed. The solution to such a problem is an external antenna for your router. Unfortunately many AVM FRITZ!Boxes and Speedports do not have a connector for an external antenna. One solution to this problem is an antenna with a housing clip and an IPEX plug.
The conversion of these devices is usually very simple and takes only a few minutes. For this, you must carefully open the wireless router, loosely disconnect the original antenna connector from the board, connect the IPEX plug of the new antenna to the socket on the board, attach the antenna to the cover and then close the housing again carefully.
With this conversion kit, you can improve both the transmitting and receiving characteristics of your device. The advantages for you are, among other things, higher signal strength, higher range, higher transmission rates and fewer disconnections.
This conversion kit with two 7dBi omni antennas is especially well suited for WiFi networks in private households.

¹This model has a multi-antenna system consisting of two or three antennas. All antennas in this system are treated equally. For this reason, all antennas have to be replaced, so that a performance increase can be acieved.
²This model has a multi-antenna system consisting of three antennas, all of which are treated equally. Since the two outer antennas are provided for the LTE Signal, they do not have to be changed. This means that you only have to change the middle antenna so that you can achieve a higher performance. The 6840 additionally has two antennas on the circuit board, which can be extended.
³In this system the versions V1 and V2 have three IPX jacks. The V3 has two IPX jacks. The version can be viewed in the overview of the WebGUI of the FRITZ!Box.
