The AP121 from ALFA Network is one of the smallest WiFi routers on the market with a 9 x 7 cm stand. The WiFi router reaches a data rate of 150 Mbps in 802.11n mode, but is also backward compatible with older 802.11 b/g devices. With 80mW output power, it transmits as much as larger WiFi devices. Simply connect the AP121 to your DSL modem and you can connect all your WiFi devices to the Internet via the AP121 network. If you have a non-WLAN-enabled device, you can connect this via the integrated Ethernet interface.
Because the AP121 is passive power over Ethernet capable, it can be powered via an ethernet cable. The Atheros AR9331 chipset allows you to install an OpenWrt firmware instead of the normal firmware. This firmware offers many customization options and functions, which are not possible with the standard firmware specified by ALFA. For more information, please visit the OpenWrt page of the AP121.
