Nowadays, it is normal for more and more people to be constantly online. At home and when traveling, you often have the option to use WiFi hotspots in ports, campsites or other open hotspots to access the Internet. However, if no WiFi is available, a solution with LTE or UMTS makes sense.
Often, you can encounter problems with both WiFi connections to hotspots and connections to the mobile Internet. If the distance between the camper's own parking space or the boat's mooring to the WiFi hotspot becomes too far, it often leads to disconnections and poor transmission rates. Or you cannot even connect to the hotspot. This is especially due to the mostly very weak WiFi adapters and antennas in mobile devices. A WiFi extender can help here.
In the moment when no WiFi hotspot is available or the quality of the internet connection provided by the hotspot does not correspond to the desired, one would like to fall back on mobile Internet. Here, too, it comes in part, in particular by bad signal in rural areas, to disconnections and poor data rates. This is where a LTE Extender can help. The LTE antenna receives the mobile signal, even if it is very weak.
The WiFi Extender Set Camp Pro 2, consisting of R36A, Tube-U(N) and an outdoor WiFi antenna, provides a remedy for connection problems between smartphones/tablets to distant hotspots: The extender has a modular design. The outdoor module consisting of Tube-U(N) and the antenna connects with its excellent transmission and reception characteristics with the remote WiFi hotspot. This internet connection is passed on to the indoor module (the ALFA R36A) via the enclosed USB cable. The R36A WiFi Extender now provides its own WiFi for all their devices.
The LTE Extender 4G Camp Pro 2 provides a simple solution to connectivity issues with the mobile Internet. The ALFA Tube-U4G receives the mobile signal thanks to the LTE antenna even if it is very weak and connects to the mobile Internet. The ALFA R36A LTE Extender uses this broadband connection to provide its own WiFi. You can log in to this WiFi with all your devices and use the mobile Internet connection.
The R36A WLAN Extender is specifically designed for use with the Tube series. All devices are simply controlled via the web interface of the R36A, so you do not need to install additional software. Setting up via tablet or smartphone is not a problem as the web interface of the R36A automatically adapts to the size of your screen. All you have to do is connect the tube you currently want to use to the R36A via USB, change the configuration accordingly, and you're ready to go online with all your devices. Simultaneous operation of Tube-U(N) and Tube-U4G is currently not possible due to only one USB port on the R36A and due to the setup of the webinterface. The package includes all the components you need such as a powerful outdoor WiFi antenna, a powerful outdoor LTE antenna, a mounting solution and a step-by-step quick-start guide.

This set is no longer available because we decided to remove the Tube-U4G from our range. A set with the successor model, the Tube-U4Gv2, can be found here: ALFA Network WiFi and 4G Camp Pro 2+ - Combo-Set The Tube-U4Gv2 supports more UMTS and LTE bands than the previous model, which gives you even better reception in many regions.
For use on boats and for caravans, we have different mounting solutions for the tube series on offer.
The transmission power of the hardware is to be set in accordance with the legal regulations in your country. For Germany and the EU, an E.I.R.P.-maximum of 100mW or 20dBm is the limit for 2.4GHz WiFi devices including antennas. Please use the device in Germany only with the countries Zone ETSI or the regional setting for Germany to ensure compliance with the limits. The operation of a signal amplifier (for example antenna) is possible and also allowed, however, in combination with this the max. transmission power must not be exceeded.
